Well, that's interesting. Roadfood has a restaurant search category called "Chicken Dinner". They don't go so far as to specify whether the chicken is pan fried or deep fried - OK, they don't even mention whether it's fried, admittedly - but it still looks like a very fine start to finding a supply of fried chicken wherever you're traveling.
