This blog is for rambling about, well, everything that interests me. Gardening. The Farm. Perfume. Fashion. Photography. Fried chicken. Books. Clutter. Hoarding. Sewing. Writing. Murder Mysteries. Bacon. TV. Movies. Restaurants. Cooking. Oh, and don't forget the cat pictures.
Am regretting swapping away all my PG samples, nearly, including this one, Coze, Un Crime Exotique and the scent formerly known as Iris Taizo. Not regretting the loss of Cadjmere for the moment. Or that tuberose one, or Drama Nuii. Still have (much depleted) bottle of Brulure de Rose and samples of Jardins de Kerylos, Felanilla and L'Ombre Fauve. But that is it now. Why did I asset strip this house?
Good morning! Besides Eau de Sticky Pastry (which sounds delish right now, BTW, as I'm ready for b'fast and am thinking how nicely that would go with my cup of joe), I get some incensey woods or woodsy incense from Aomassai. This is an interesting one. Don't wear it often, but I do love it.
I don't own any bottles of PG (several decants), but I actually have a bag of PG samples just as a reference selection - I find so many of them really interesting and like to revisit them. Strangely, I disliked Cadjmere quite a bit and that seems to be one of the most popular, on MUA, anyway.
I must retest this one (although my sample was swapped away ages ago), I detected a musky, resinous, hairy man note that didn't agree with me. Sticky pastries sounds lovely though ;-)
Oh, noo! Flittersniffer, can you order another batch and pretend the stripping never happened? Though, really, it is admirable to declutter one's samples. It's a fine and appropriate instinct. It's just scarey. :)
Howdy, Debby! Yes, I think that most people get less pastry and more wood than I do. Or, I may be mistaking the bitterness of the wood for the bitterness of burnt sugar.
I love Cadjmere, but it does have a very distinct and rather showy personality, so if you don't like it, I can see that you really wouldn't like it.
Hmmm. No hairy man note for me, lovethescents, but like I said, this one seems to go entirely pastry on me. Though, reversing myself, I usually don't _like_ pastry scents, so maybe the incense or hairy man is what's making me like this one, and I'm just not aware of it?

ReplyDeleteIf I haven't already swapped away Cedre Sandaraque, I wouldn't miss it either.
